"My inspiration to help aspiring young athletes stems from my own experiences as a junior track athlete. It was the 200m heats of a National Championships (essentially the Olympic final in my head!) and I executed what I felt was the perfect race, only to cross the finish line in 4th place, a full second away from the winning time. To me there was nothing else I could have done in my preparation to shave off that time, and that was hugely de-motivating. On reflection I now know that in-fact the most successful people tend to be those who have failed the most, and I also appreciate the many avenues to performance enhancement that alluded me at the time. - a key one being strength & conditioning. This is my motivation to support young athletes and ensure they never give up their aspirations!"
